Q: Is
machining only for big factories and industry?
A: Machining is
available to ANYONE who wants something made to precise dimensions
Q: Do
I need to know about metal and the machining processes to submit an
order?
A: No, all you need
to know is a rough idea of what you want made, and we'll take care of
the rest.
Q: Do
I need a technical drawing to submit an order?
A: You can explain
over the phone what you want, or mail (snail or email) a piece of
cardboard, paper, or material with a shape on it.
Q:
Will Bob's make a drawing for me?
A: Yes, we can make a
drawing to exact dimensions of your product using the latest software.
Q:
Will Bob's do mass production?
A: Depending on the
size of the order, we will probably be able to fill it.
Q:
How much does it cost?
A: Cost is relative,
it depends on amount of precision requested (.125" though .0002 lathe
.0005 mill"), cost of material, setup and special tooling, and the time
of production.
Q:
When will it be done?
A: We'll try to be
accommodating and be flexible to your schedule.
Q:
Does Bob's have an engineering design and consulting division?
A: At this time, we
do not. However, we do have software to calculate the structural
integrity of parts and assemblies.
Q: Do
I have to be local to use Bob McGee's Machining?
A: Absolutely not,
you tell us what you need, and we'll ship it there.
